Living in a small room of 200-300 feet requires more consideration in interior design, especially for a small bedroom with only 50-70 feet. How to achieve a sense of space without giving up personal style (such as adding a platform bed), and even create a distinctive interior design style? Here are 4 tips for small bedroom design from Deco-Man.
Spatial design tip 1: Wall bed for a 30 feet bedroom
If there are only 30-50 feet in bedroom but you wish to have more movable space, wall bed is an ideal choice. Fold the wall bed when you are not sleeping to increase the sense of space. You can put your favourite artwork, such as painting your favourite colour or hanging textiles on bed frame, or to have a wall bed with a shelf to put the decorative items to make your bedroom unique beautiful.
Spatial design tip 2: Make good use of the space under and at the foot of the bed
Don’t waste the space at the foot of the bed. You can place some bamboo shelves to store the frequently used items, such as books. This not only enlarges the storage space, but also decorates the bedroom.
Spatial design tip 3: Abandon the wardrobe and add clothes rails
The wardrobe takes up a lot space, so you may consider switching to a clothes rail if your bedroom is small. There are many kinds of clothes rails. The advantage of hanging clothes rails is that they do not take up floor space, which greatly increases the sense of space.
Spatial design tip 4: Add partitions in a 80 feet bedroom to allow sunlight to penetrate into the bed
If your bedroom is rectangular, consider dividing the bedroom into different areas. Do you often sit in bed and work? You can consider putting a bookshelf without a bottom plate at the end of the bed and divide the space with the bookshelf to become a workplace at the back. In addition to dividing the space, the bookshelf without a bottom plate allows sunlight from the window to seep into your bedside through books and decorations.
